Some of the shortest hikes in distance can take hours, especially if the terrain is tough or there's a lot of natural beauty to gawk at.  Rather than have to keep running back to my campsite or vehicle for water and food, I always bring a daypack of some sort.  The Eddie Bauer 2 Bottle Hydration Waist Pack is my favorite.

The lightweight Eddie Bauer Waist Pack has a lot going for it.  The adjustable buckle holds the pack firmly to my waist and lower back.  Padded straps deliver extra comfort.

Four roomy zippered pockets can hold plenty of food, gear and a map.  And the low-profile water bottle holsters keep out of the way of my arms when I'm hiking.

The Eddie Bauer Waist Pack also has a key holder and compression straps that can accomodate loose clothing.  This daypack is so well thought out, the designers even included a conduit for headphone wires, so you can store your music player inside a compartment and still listen to it as you hike.

I've used this pack hiking all over the place and never had a problem.  When you're looking for a daypack that performs perfectly and doesn't get in the way, you should consider the Eddie Bauer 2 Bottle Hydration Waist Pack.
The Eddie Bauer Hydration Wasit Pack is a lightweight daypack sold with two 16 oz bottles.  The low-profile pack and bottles are cool because they don't get in the way of your arms when you're walking.
The Eddit Bauer Hydration Waist Pack has four roomy zippered compartments for food, maps, and other gear.  I usually carry my SLR-type camera in the larger compartment.  The compression cords are good for attaching loose clothing.
The grab'n'go daypack features a padded, adjustable waist strap that clips in the front.
My Eddie Bauer waist pack was my constant companion on day-long backcountry treks through Yosemite National Park.
